Style Yourself Chic

Colour blocking is my favourite way of styling, perfect if you struggle with prints, or just can’t find any you like, which is my recurring problem. Moda de la Maria has designed some unique pieces with easy pairing in mind. I am here to help you style some of the more difficult pieces that you may necessarily avoid, such as sets and bright colours. You must let the colours speak for themselves.

This first outfit starts with a red Cashmere Poncho Shawl from Moda de la Maria’s Knitwear collection. This 100% pure knitted cashmere poncho is super soft against your skin, perfect for layering. To let this striking colour do all the talking, I have paired it with these white Abercrombie Sloan Tailored Premium Crepe Pant. White/cream trousers are a wardrobe essential in my opinion. It's a safe option to wear black trousers, but sometimes you have to spice things up! Finishing this outfit off with Esska Vegan Charlie Heeled Sandals from Anthropologie and the black Latte handbag from Carvela. Subtle but still striking accessories. This outfit would be perfect for a cute day out with the girls.

This next outfit uses one of Moda de la Maria’s more pieces from the brand’s Knitwear collection - the Organic Cashmere Natural White Sweater and matching Skirt. Knitted from the finest organic cashmere yarn, these pieces are comfortable to wear and add a unique sophisticated touch. To dress these pieces up I have paired them with a Linen Blazer in Steel Blue from Joules. As this set is light and breathable, I believe a light and elegant blazer would work perfectly. Finished off with a Moda de la Maria Silk Scarf and Ralph Lauren Nappa Leather Flats. The scart adds that little bit of bold colour the outfit needs, whilst the shoes continue with this delicate colour pallet.

The final ensemble I have created uses one of Moda de la Maria’s dresses from the Summer collection. This Blue Cotton shift Dress is a simple, easy piece everyone needs in their wardrobe. When you have no clue what to wear, a dress like this is your saviour! To dress it up slightly, I have partnered it with a Phase Eight White Blazer, when in doubt add a blazer! These Office Pointed Toe Court Heels in Nude Leather, continue with the outfit’s sophistication without drawing too much attention away from the dress and blazer combination. Topped off with a handbag exhibiting all of these colours, this Floral Print Satin Crossbody Bag from Ted Baker is the perfect addition to this outfit.

Have no fear this summer, Moda de la Maria is always here to dress you in the latest designs!
